The inaugural Baltic School of High-Energy Physics and Accelerator Technologies is organised by the CERN Baltic Group (CBG) – an international collaboration of eight institutions from the three Baltic states. This school will be an intensive learning course covering topics of high-energy particle physics, from the basic theoretical frameworks to the cutting edge research at the Large Hadron Collider (LHC), as well as the principles, technologies and applications of particle accelerators.
This is a week long school, taking place at the camping «Ronı̄ši» on the coast of the Baltic sea. In addition to being located a few hundred metres from a white, sandy beach for the week, the participants will benefit from attending lectures by renowned and prominent lecturers:
- Prof., Dr. Jonathan Ellis (King’s College London);
- Prof., Dr. Yuri Dokshitzer (Sorbonne Université);
- Prof., Dr. Matteo Cacciari (Univeristé de Paris);
- Dr. Maurizio Vretenar (CERN).
