On December 11–13, representatives of the Faculty of Engineering at the University of Strathclyde in UK – Reader in Electronic and Electrical Engineering, Dr James Irvine and International Development Manager, Ms Jennifer Gazzard – visited RTU to sign cooperation agreement that provides implementation of joint master study program in the field of electronics and telecommunications.
On Wednesday, 27 November, a 5-member delegation of Parliament of Indonesian North Sulawesi Province led by its Speaker Mr Andrei Angouw and the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Indonesia Mr Ayub Junus paid a visit to RTU Ķīpsala Campus.
At the beginning of the visit, Deputy Rector for International Academic Cooperation and Studies, Professor Igors Tipans delivered a presentation about RTU, as well as the parties also discussed possible models of cooperation between RTU and Indonesia’s institutions of higher education.
At the end of the meeting, Professor Igors Tipans and Honorary Consul of the Republic of Latvia in Indonesia Mr Ayub Junus signed the agreement stating RTU’s commitment to provide Indonesia’s institutions of higher education with information, in order to attract Indonesian students.
Afterwards, delegation visited the Institute of Design Technologies and the Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications at RTU, where they were informed about RTU’s achievements in cooperation with the industry, as well as were given a visual insight into the technical supply of the university that is used for the provision of the study process and implementation of international research projects.
The delegation of Parliament of Indonesian North Sulawesi Province consisted of the following members – Mr Rocky Wowor, Mr Amir Abdulkadir Liputo, Mr Raski Azhari Mokodompit and Mr Muhammad Ayub Albugis.
