RTU Summer School “International Economic Relations and Globalization”

From July 6 to 19, 2019, 68 students from The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) have participated in the summer school “International Economic Relations and Globalization” organized by the Foreign Students Foundation and Short-Term Courses Unit of RTU.

The scientific content of the summer school was tailored to participants’ study field related to international relations and diplomacy, ensuring students with an in-depth insight regarding social innovation, intercultural communication and international relations with emphasis on Latvian–Russian diplomatic relationship and European Union-related issues.

During the summer school, Russian students visited Riga Freeport Authority, Riga City Council, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Latvia and Riga International Airport as well as acquire basic knowledge of Latvian language and get acquainted with Latvian culture-historical aspects by visiting cities of Ventspils and Kuldiga.

The summer school “International Economic Relations and Globalization” took place for 6th consecutive year, and from its development standpoint, we would like to emphasize, that the number of participants grew from 20 in 2018 to 68 in 2019.
