Bachelor Study Programmes in English
Faculty of E-Learning Technologies and Humanities
The Bachelor Study Programme “Technical Translation” educates and trains translators in such fields as engineering economics, management, civil engineering, architecture, information technologies and telecommunications.
It differs from similar study programmes in the Humanities as it has an additional emphasis on mastering scientific and technical terminology, researching latest trends in applied linguistics and acquiring profound knowledge in the field of translatology.
The study programme is unique as not only linguists, but specialists in the corresponding fields of science and technology, business and law participate in the implementation of the study programme.
Knowledge of at least two languages from English, Russian, and German is required.
- Appropriate technical and methodological base,
- Experienced academic personnel participating in scientific activities in the field of translatology and implementing translation projects,
- Access to the results of the latest research projects of the world leading universities and research centres (through subscriptions to a variety of databases),
- Gaining awareness to the international technical translation practice through forums, seminars and guest lectures, and exploring other networking opportunities (including internship and mobility projects).
The value of this programme is defined by a great demand for specialists with the specified profile in the European labour market.
