RTU delegation visit to Latin America

From November 11 –23, Rector of Riga Technical University, prof. Leonids Ribickis, Vice-Rector for Strategic Development, Mr Arturs Zeps, Dean of The Faculty of Electronics and Telecommunications, Mr Jurgis Porins and Project Manager of International Cooperation Unit, Ms Inga Karkla, paid a visit to Latin America to participate in IAU (International Association of Universities) 2019 conference “Transforming Higher Education for the Future”; and visited eight Latin American universities – two in Mexico (Albert Einstein university and Monterrey Institute of Technology and Higher Education), three in Peru (Peruvian University of Applied Sciences, St. Ignatius of Loyola University and Pontifical Catholic University of Peru) and three in Argentina (Austral University of Argentina, University of Buenos Aires, Pontifical Catholic University of Argentina). The aim of the visit was to expand the partnership in Latin America, to develop cooperation with existent partner universities and to discuss the possibilities for future cooperation.

South Korean delegation’s visit to RTU

On Wednesday, 20 November, representatives of South Korea’s Ministry of SMEs and Startups – Lee Seung Woo, Cha Gyeongmi, Minji Yoon – and researcher of Korea Institute of Startup and Entrepreneurship Development Lee Dongha paid a visit to RTU Ķīpsala Campus.

Our guests visited RTU Design Factory and Laboratory House, as well as Latvian Electronic Equipment Testing Centre, where they were informed about RTU’s achievements in cooperation with the industry, as well as were given a visual insight into the technical supply of the university that is used for the provision of the study process and implementation of international research projects.
